(EAP)
is no longer available
effective July 1, 2006.

 

Due to extremely low usage over the past three years, UGA has elected not to continue this program. On average, less than 2% of our employees used the EAP each year. HR continually examines how we spend money to better serve you, and this product was evidently not highly valued by most employees. Human Resources is reviewing alternative internal and external resources to address employee needs.

Employees with non-emergency health issues should contact their primary care physicians for assistance.

For Indemnity Plan Participants:

  • MedCall provides emergency room referral and medical information from a registered nurse, 24 hours a day, seven days a week: 1-800-785-0006
  • For mental health issues, please contact Blue Cross Blue Shield at 1-800-424-8950

For PPO Plan Participants:

  • MedCall provides emergency room referral and medical information from a registered nurse, 24 hours a day, seven days a week: 1-800-785-0006
  • For mental health issues, Magellan provides 24 hour, toll-free telephone access to clinical assessment and referral services for treatment/care of mental health/substance abuse conditions: 1-800-631-9943.

For HMO Plan Participants:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia Behavioral Health at 1-800-292-2879
