Please park in the North Campus parking deck (N06) and speak to the T&D receptionist about your parking situation prior to leaving the Training Center.

Parking

Ride the bus! North-South and Russell Hall bus routes stop at the Training & Development Center. This is the best option for on-campus employees.
Immediately adjacent to the Center is the N08 lot. Only employees with an N08 permit may park in this lot.
Across from the Training Center is the North Campus parking deck (N06). The cost to park in this lot is approximately $8 for a full day which is not reimbursed by Training and Development. *Please be aware: The North Deck is sometimes full and there is not another parking option available in this area. We strongly recommend you ride the campus transit system..
Handicapped parking spaces in the lot adjacent to Training and Development are designated for N08 permit holders only. If you are in need of handicapped parking near our building, please contact Parking Services to make arrangements.

From Atlanta (by Hwy. 316)

From Atlanta, take 85 North.
Exit to Hwy. 316 East towards Athens.
Follow 316 all the way into Athens (approx. 40 miles). As you approach Athens, do not exit at the "Athens/Monroe Hwy 78" exit. Continue on 316 through two traffic lights, then bear right onto the Athens Perimeter Loop 10, traveling east.
After approximately six miles, take the "Oconee Street/Lexington Road " # 8 exit to Lexington Road. Turn left onto Lexington Road (go under the bridge).
Travel several blocks. Stay in the left lane. After passing the Dairy Queen (on the left), turn left at the second traffic light onto Williams Street. (For a landmark, look for Nuci’s blue building on the corner.)
On Williams Street, follow around the curve and go under the train trestle. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Thomas Street.
On Thomas Street, go up the hill and you will see the Training and Development Center on the right and the parking deck on your left. Park in the deck and walk back across the street. (Ignore the sign about visitors going to other entrance.)

From Atlanta (by Hwy. 78)

As you approach Athens, pass Georgia Square Mall on the left.
Continue on the Atlanta Highway (which changes names to Broad Street) into downtown Athens.
As you approach downtown, you will pass the Holiday Inn on your right.
Continue on Broad Street and cross Lumpkin Street, College Avenue, Jackson Street, then turn right onto Thomas Street as you are leaving the downtown district.
Go two blocks on Thomas Street. The North Campus Parking Deck will be on your right, the Training & Development Center on your left. Park in the deck and walk back across the street. (Ignore the sign about visitors going to other entrance.)

From Augusta (via I-20)

From I-20, take the Thompson/Washington (Hwy. 78) exit.
Follow Hwy. 78 to Athens.
As you approach Athens, pass Wal-Mart on your right. Continue on 78 (Lexington Road).
Follow 78/Lexington Road past Shoney's, then past Carmike Theatres. Continue straight.
Get in the left lane. Lexington Road changes names to Oak Street. After passing the Dairy Queen (on the left), turn left at the second traffic light onto Williams Street. (For a landmark, look for Nuci’s blue building on the corner.)

From North Georgia (via Hwy. 441)

As you approach Athens on Hwy. 441, at the traffic light at the Loop 10 Athens Bypass, proceed under the bridge (stay straight on 441, now named Martin Luther King Pkwy).
After you go under the Loop 10 bridge, go through 1 traffic light (exit of loop 10), then a 2nd traffic light (College Ave.), then turn right at the 3rd light onto North Avenue. (You will have traveled less than one mile from the Loop 10 intersection.)
Stay straight on North Avenue, which becomes Thomas Street. Go through 4 traffic lights (cross Dougherty, Hancock, Washington, Clayton, & Broad Streets). Be aware of turn lanes; stay straight on Thomas.
Stay on Thomas as it crosses Broad Street. In the 2nd block after you cross Broad Street, look for the North Campus parking deck on your right (Lot N08) and park there. (Ignore the sign about visitors going to other entrance.)
Walk across Thomas Street to the Training & Development Center.

Note: Hwy. 78, Lexington Road, Oak Street, Broad Street (East & West), and Atlanta Highway are all the same road. It just changes names a few times as it passes through Athens!
