Have you registered
your preferred email address? Are you regularly
reading email delivered to your registered email
address? T&D sends an email confirmation to
your registered email address approximately 24
hours after your class registration form is submitted.

Who is eligible
to attend classes at Training & Development?
T&D funding
is provided for the development of UGA faculty
and staff; however, professional courtesy is extended
to others, including BOR and state employees,
UGA temporary employees, UGA graduate students,
and UGA retirees. On a case-by-case basis, if
space is available, these individuals may attend
certain T&D classes.
Do I need
to get my supervisor's signature to attend class?
Appropriate supervisory
permission is required to attend our seminars.
You need not obtain supervisory permission if
you are a faculty member, department head, or
higher.
I'm wait-listed
for a class. Will I get into the class?
If we receive
your registration after a class is filled, we
will automatically place you on a waiting list.
Waiting list registrants are notified of vacancies
and moved into the classes as we receive cancellations.
I'm scheduled
to attend an all-day class at T&D. Will there
be a break for lunch?
A one-hour lunch
break is taken for full-day courses at Training
and Development. The exact time of the lunch break
is determined by the instructor on the day of
class. The Training Center is conveniently located
near downtown Athens where participants may find
several eatery choices. The Training Center also
has a small break area with tables and chairs,
vending machines, microwave, refrigerator, and
sink.

a computer class for the topic I need training on.
Where can I go?
If you need specific
technology training, please contact T&D at
706-542-7062 or training@uga.edu. Your contact
with us will help us plan future programs. If
we cannot accommodate your need, we'll try to
direct you to possible alternatives.
Which campus
buses stop at the Training and Development Center?
The North-South
bus and the Russell Hall buses stop at the Training
and Development Center. For more information about
the bus routes, please visit the Campus Transit
site.
May I park
in the lot next to your building?
The parking lot adjacent to the Training & Development Center is restricted to permit holders for that lot. Only employees with an N08 permit may park in this lot.
Across from the Training Center is the North Campus parking deck (N06). The cost to park in this lot is approximately $8 for a full day which is not reimbursed by Training and Development. *Please be aware: The North Deck is sometimes full and there is not another parking option available in this area. We strongly recommend you ride the campus transit system.

is located at 315 South Thomas St. across from
the UGA North Campus parking deck. Get driving directions to the Training
Center.
Where will
my training class be held in your building?
When you enter the
Training Center, please stop at the front desk
and sign in to record your attendance. Someone
will direct you to the location of your training.
If your training session is being held at a location
other than T&D, you will receive an email
with details about the location of the class
