Death of an employee or retiree
Dependents and/or beneficiaries should call the
Office of Employee Benefits, (706) 542-2222, to
report the death of a covered employee, retiree, or dependent. Once the
death is reported, the surviving spouse or dependents
will receive detailed information on benefits continuation from their benefits counselor.
There may also be paperwork to complete related
to health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance,
accidental death & dismemberment insurance,
and retirement. The Office of Employee Benefits
(706-542-2222) will assist family members in completing
any necessary forms.
